Now that we’ve simply explained what a B Corp is (here if you missed it), we thought it would be fun to share some exciting B Corps from the Food & Drink industry…What’s not to love about tea, beer and chocolate?
1. Toast Brewing

Why Toast Brewing are particularly cool…
- …Toast Brewing make beer out of waste bread.
- They were the first UK Brewery to gain B Corp status in 2018, and were re-certified with 125.4/200 in 2024.
- They turn ‘leftover loaves into liquid gold’ via fermentation. This reduces food waste, land area requirements, carbon emissions, water use and 100% of their profits go back to environmental charities. What’s not to love?
Where can you buy this B Corp Treat?
- Head to your local Aldi, Waitrose or Co-op to have a sip of your own.
And with the arrival of chillier weather we’ve been experiencing, it’s only right that we turn out attention to some B Corps who warm the soul:
2. Teapigs:

- The first UK tea to gain the ‘Plastic Free Trust Mark’ from A Plastic Planet– Teapigs offer an extensive range of 34 whole leaf teas and donates to the Point Foundation in Rwanda for every pack sold- this is particularly great as the tea is sourced in Rwanda. The tea is sustainably sourced with 100% plant based packaging. Tea pigs are also members of the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
And as no warming cuppa is complete without a sweet treat…
3. Tony’s Chocoloney:

Why are ethical cocoa beans important?
- Tony’s are huge advocates for taking responsibility for their whole value chain and external stakeholders- whilst they already have the B Corp status, they are always working towards improving their score /200.
- Their 2025 report showed Tony’s buying 14.74 billion ethical cocoa beans- which had the knock on effect of being able to pay 20,296 farmers a higher price, and freeing 1,718 children from child labour (a serious issue within the cocoa growing industry).
- And, following on from our chat about deforestation earlier- Tony’s ensured 26,536 cocoa farms (i.e. 99.95% of their supply chain) were deforestation free. We love Tony’s- I myself am particularly partial to the dark chocolate, almond and sea salt bar- yum.
Extra Information: What is a value chain?
- A value chain is the sequence of steps which lead to a product being created, which add value to the product for the consumer (manufacturer, packaging producer, vendor etc).
